Biocide Product Family Consortium
CEHTRA, together with legal support from Steptoe & Johnson LLP, is collecting interest from companies to establish consortia for the preparation and submission of biocidal product family dossiers containing specific active substances.
Joining a consortium for the submission of biocidal product family dossiers (and related same biocidal product applications) allows members not only to secure market access for their products but also to secure product supply to their customers. It presents a number of advantages including time saving, optimizing resources, sharing of the regulatory burden and costs and limitation of dossier duplication.
CEHTRA and Steptoe offer combined technical, scientific and legal expertise for seamless support during the entire life of a consortium. We have relevant experience in the management of consortia and of biocidal product families, including dossier preparation and data sharing.
The potential candidates for cooperation, which are going to be approved soon, are:
• Icaridine (EC no. 423-210-8 and CAS no. 119515-38-7)
• Active chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis
• DDAC (EC no. 230-525-2 and CAS no. 7173-51-5) and
• ADBAC/BKC (EC 270-325-2 no. and CAS no. 68424-85-1)
CEHTRA and Steptoe are also collecting interest for product dossiers containing other active substances already in the BPC work programme:
